One time when I was really sick...
We have been working really hard on increasing our writing skills. Today I had students write about a time when they were really sick. They did a fabulous job! My kiddos can write complete sentences by themselves now- WOO!!
The first step was to complete a face template of themselves. The second step was to complete the first sentence of the writing prompt and then write at least one more sentence. Some students wrote as many as five sentences. They were encouraged to use inventive spelling. The third and final step was to glue a tissue to their noes.
Students wrote some pretty awesome sentences. Some wrote about what they do when their sick, how they got sick, where they got sick, what their parents do to make them feel better, etc.
