Field Trip: Natural History Museum

Community is our classroom...

Every minute was filled with excitement as we explored the Natural History Museum! We ventured through the Bird Hall, Rainforest, North American Mammal Hall, African Mammal Hall, Dinosaur Encounters Show, Dino Lab, Discover Center and Insect Zoo and saw an animal show at the end! Students were full of laughter, smiles and "Look at this teacher!" as we went through each exhibit. Each exhibit was filled with life-size animals that looked very realistic with fun facts about each animals, including habitat, diet, life span, etc. Once we ventured through several exhibits we saw a very exciting animal show... a California Desert Tortoise! This tortoise was not shy either and neither were the children. We learned many amazing facts about tortoises and at the end were able to ask and even touch it!

Thank you Natural History Museum for a fabulous day! Also, thank you parents for volunteering to bring in food and drinks! Made for a delicious snack on the lawn outside the museum.
