Cha Ching!
This week we started focusing on money. We focused on identifying coins, what the value of each coin is worth and counting pennies. We sang songs and poems, watched "Dollars and Cents" from BrainPopJr, completed worksheets and displayed what we learned in front of our peers!
I need to brag a little bit about Ivy Preschool and Kindergarten! Last week I mentioned incorporating BrainPopJr into our curriculum to help students reach extraordinary heights. I believe it's a fascinating program that is highly effective in all educational topics. Within each topic they have created videos that capture student's minds using concise wording and entertaining characters. Also within each topic they have activities, crafts, games and even quizzes used as a comprehension tool after each video lesson! With that being said, the director and assistant director purchased this exciting program enhancer. So far, the students are loving it and it's been so great to see them learn topics with joy! :)
