For this activity students had to complete the sentence using word wall words, a noun and a verb. Prior to starting this activity we created a list of different ocean creatures (nouns) and ocean creature actions (verbs).
Students worked independently to write the sentence. Once they wrote their sentence I checked their work and then they were free to illustrate their sentence. I strongly encouraged them to illustrate as many details as possible. Soon we will be including those "picture" details into our writing!
