Fall Apples!

I love fall time! The smells, food, trees changing colors, warmer clothes and the holidays! I wanted to share my love for fall with my students. One of my favorite fall fruits is apples, so we have been focusing on them this week. We graphed, read, colored, watched videos, science experiments and made treats with apples! Yesterday we made apple crisp in the crockpot which was a great learning experience. We learned about measuring spoons and cups, how to measure and how to follow directions. They did an amazing job preparing and making this yummy treat!

Today we made apple juice, graphed apples, watched the life cycle of an apple tree, watched how apples get to the grocery store and created apple volcanos! The kids absolutely LOVED making and drinking the fresh apple juice. It was quite delicious! :)

Up! Up! Up! We Go!

One of the many things I love about children is that they are so pure. They live in the moment which is so important in having a happy life. Today was no exception. They love to paint. Especially if they can get their hands dipped it paint! As soon as they saw we were working with paint, I heard a lot of "yay, teacher!" and smiles. Today we used our fingerprints to make balloons. They all turned out so well! I hope you enjoy!
